2008/09 HGE theme

Mrs. Lafrance, Mrs. Skodyn and all the students at Helen Gorman Elementary, who visit the library regularly, would like to express our appreciation to the PAC and the many volunteers, who helped to make this year's Scholastic book fair such a huge success. Over $4000.00 was brought in, which earned $1155.00 and $385.00 worth of free books!  Thank you so much for supporting our library and its programs!  One such program took place on Monday when Mr. Robert Cahill spoke to Mrs. Loewen's and Ms. Morrison's Classes on Global Warming, Mr. Steciuk's and Mrs. Casorso's classes on his travels in Japan, and Mrs. Winsby's and Ms. Wieger's classes on Nunavut.
