Our Jump Rope for Heart Day is scheduled for Friday, May 18th from 12:00 to 1:30.
Did you know that this is the first generation of children that may have a shorter life expectancy than their parents? It's true, 26% of Canada's children are overweight or obese, putting them at high risk of developing heart disease, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.
At the Heart and Stroke Foundation, we believe that every child has the right to grow up healthy. We also believe that you and your school can help us make this vision a reality. Through skipping and fundraising for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Heart&Stroke Jump Rope for Heart teaches children the importance of healthy living and social responsibility.

Will be Friday June 1st from 8:30 - 10:00 at the front of the school in our Round-a-bout. We will be serving tea
Mr. David Finnis from the Okanagan Regional Library will be at HGE on Monday, May 28th to inform all the classes on THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM. LAST DAY to sign out Library Books will be Friday, June 8th. Mrs. Lafrance and Mrs. Orloff will be sending home a note with any students who
currently have overdue books.
